As a Life Plan Community, formerly known as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), Casa de las Campanas has been serving San Diego County seniors in various stages of life for nearly 30 years.
Our spectrum of services, from independent living and assisted living, to skilled nursing and memory care, provides support to those who need it now, and peace of mind to those who may require it down the road.
While the last quarter-century has seen us earn a respected reputation for our quality of care, particularly our physical therapy, we never stop challenging ourselves to be the best that we can be.
That’s why, as the next phase of our comprehensive renovation plan, we’re investing in a state-of-the-art health center. With construction in the early stages, the new health center will include:
- An additional 72 new suites for skilled nursing and short-term rehab, the majority of which are private
- A larger physical therapy area
- Five neighborhoods (four large, one small) with larger spaces for dining and socializing
The neighborhood concept removes the ‘long white hallway’ stigma many health centers at retirement communities are branded with. Instead, these neighborhoods will act as communities within the community, encouraging more interaction and socialization among residents through large dining and activity areas.
The approval of this more resident-friendly concept, not traditionally seen in California, is significant. Approvals are difficult to achieve and can take more than two years to receive from various state agencies.
With construction on the new center having begun, we hope to open in the near future.
The new health center follows other renovations already made to Casa de las Campanas, including the addition of an on-site salon and The Bistro. Have questions about the health center or any of the renovations? Call 858-683-3995, or check back here for more updates.
