The Palmer Special Care Residence is where those residents affected by Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia receive the quality care they need, along with the compassion and respect they deserve. This lets them live with the dignity and independence they want.
We’ve created a safe, nurturing environment in a homelike setting. Our therapeutic activity-based program is structured to enhance and prolong residents’ quality of life. Knowing that your loved one is in Palmer Special Care also gives you relief and support for dealing with the sometimes overwhelming stress that comes with caring for a loved one who has memory loss.
We have a licensed vocational nurse and nursing assistants that are available 24 hours a day. We also have activity staff, who work with them as a team to care for residents.
We create a care plan that helps residents maintain their highest level of independence. We know how important it is for residents to feel safe and to communicate. That’s why Palmer Special Care is a home-like environment where residents can follow their preferred routines. We find and celebrate the successes in everything they do.
People who are cognitively challenged, whether from Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia, require a higher level of care and security than those who simply need help with activities of daily living. Memory care residences at Casa de las Campanas are carefully designed to ensure that residents feel safe and secure. Our program is structured to build confidence in an environment that promotes choice and celebrates accomplishments.
Our fully trained staff gets to know your loved one – their history, their likes and dislikes, and preferred schedule. This nurturing relationship often improves interactions, helps reduce behavior problems, and can result in a reduction in medication needs.
