After several years of experiencing more and more difficulty managing a home by myself and struggling with cooking for one, I decided to look for better options. That is when I found Casa de las Campanas. I found this community to be the answer to all the issues of daily living I was experiencing at age 61.
First the financial: I no longer have utility bills, property taxes, maintenance expenses or worries about how will I pay for help if I need it.
Any time I need help it is here. Cleaning, laundry (sheet and towels), maintenance are all done for me. When needed I can get extra help for my personal needs. In Casa I have available a bank, a salon for hair, nails and massage, postal services and a small grocery store. When needed Casa has it’s own transportation options, access to a rental car, a bus to area shopping and transportation to medical appointments. Currently I have my own car but when I choose to give it up the options are here for me.
This is the best bargain I found!
What about the food? I enjoy food that is fit for the gourmet appetite or a restricted diet. With three meals a day offered I enjoy healthy delicious food everyday. I have a wonderfully modern and complete kitchen in my apartment but I only use it for small meals and snacks. I love having friends and family over for dinner and all I do is walk to the dining room with them. They always rave over the food.
Personal safety and security is another issue of complete satisfaction for me at Casa. Twenty four hours a day, seven days a week I have the security staff to help in an emergency or the health center wellness staff for physical concerns. When the day comes I need more assistance it is all here. I no longer have to wonder where and how I would get the help I may need.
Now the social life: Casa has the nicest friendliest people who welcomed me. I always have people with whom to share meals and enjoy all the activities at Casa. There is a broad variety of fun activities, clubs and committees to choose from every day. Plus the Community of Rancho Bernardo is full of many more options for an active social life and volunteer work.
My question is, Who wouldn’t want to live at Casa?
